Week Three! 120% Funded, Final Push, & Livestreams
6 months ago – Wed, Sep 24, 2025 at 11:27:59 AM

Greetings from a gray and rainy Pittsburgh!

We've nearly reached the finish line! Funding wraps at 7pm ET this Friday, meaning 48-hour "remind me" emails will start going out tonight to anyone who bookmarked the campaign (that's why most campaign funding graphs are a parabola—reminder notifications get sent on launch and just before ending). Every campaign is different, but this one has really set itself apart with the sheer outpouring of community support, and I can't thank James & Meghan enough for all the streaming they've done to help cultivate that. Speaking of, here are a few things you might have missed in the last week!

But wait, there's more! Join the One Shot Network's Twitch channel for streams of both CCK & Homecoming today starting at 4pm & 7pm CT respectively!

We've got Nathan Blades, Andi Licht, and Cate Osborn joining James for CCK at 4pm, and then James & Cate sticking around to play Homecoming with Meghan at 7pm after! Think of it as a last-huzzah pledge drive event before the campaign wraps. We hope to see you there!

Plus a few more projects we love:

  • Blanksword is a rogue-like + roleplaying video game being worked on by a stellar team of creators, including Deltarune alums and some friends of yours truly. If you like Earthbound or Undertale-style RPGs you should definitely check this out!
  • Ex Tenebris is Mass Effect meets Warhammer 40k TTRPG from Josh Fox and Becky Annison, the team behind Lovecraftesque & Flotsam: Adrift Amongst the Stars. I'm a big fan their past work, and this looks rad!
  • With so many TTRPGs requiring Tarot and/or a standard deck of cards these days, The Divine & Play Tarot Deck is a godsend. It combines the two into one compact deck you can use for either by simply adding or removing a few card. I own a first edition of this deck and it's super convenient.

That's likely it until funding! Keep spreading the word, and cross your fingers for a strong final 48!

All best,

T

Week Two! Fully Funded, CCK Randomizer, & More Actual Plays
6 months ago – Tue, Sep 16, 2025 at 03:28:02 PM

We're fully funded! Thanks so much for the support!!

As anyone who's run a Kickstarter campaign can tell you, it's SUCH a relief to not be anxiously refreshing right up to the deadline. We don't do stretch goals here at PWG, so everything beyond this point goes to larger print runs for already top-tier games! Funding early means pledges are now pre-orders, though, so be sure to share the campaign with anyone interested in getting in on the ground floor!

Week two highlights & happenings:

Lastly, here are some more projects we love!

  • World Wide Wrestling's second edition is getting a reprint! WWW is THE professional wrestling TTRPG, and Nathan D. Paoletta is an all-time great game designer. Help fund the reprint and get a copy before they sell out again!
  • Speaking of sports TTRPGs, Full Send is a mountain climbing TTRPG by way of tarot and trick-taking. I'm a sucker for a good card-based RPG, and this looks extremely cool.
  • And one more card-based RPG: Gallisant by Grafbound Press—a two-player Arthurian adventure game about a Knight Errant and their search for the mythical Questing Beast. Graftbound makes really beautiful stuff, and this is looking great!

That's all for now! More to come at the three-week mark!

All best,

T

One Week Down! 85% Funded, Interviews, & Actual Play
6 months ago – Wed, Sep 10, 2025 at 03:23:37 PM

Seven days in and already $17k raised! You love to see it!

Whether you're a fan of James, Drew, Meghan, or past Possible Worlds Games releases, thank you so much for supporting our campaign! As different as these RPGs are, we knew we'd be stronger working together, and the fact that over 65% of backers are choosing to pledge for all three games is a testament to their quality and your belief in PWG as a whole. We really appreciate it, and we're so excited to make these next three releases a reality!

Want to learn more about each game? Here are some spotlights you may have missed!

  • The One Shot Podcast just started a multi-part actual play of Cosmic Century Knights with Viditya Voleti, Daniel Kwan, Dillin Apelyan and James himself in the GM seat! This is a game that really reveals just how special it is through play, and I'm already obsessed with the crew's characters and worldbuilding. Check it out!
  • The queeRPG Podcast interviewed Meghan about Homecoming and her personal design journey! Listen in, and if you have a question of your own, Meghan also just kicked off an AMA on Bluesky!
  • GeekNative was kind enough to ask me some questions about Chuck and our larger campaign. Give it a read to learn more about Chuck's origins, PWG's artistic & publishing goals, and where season planning fits!

More interviews, features, and actual plays are in the works, so keep an eye out for additional links in future updates!

In the meantime, here are some other currently-funding projects we love!

  • If you've ever wondered where/how Possible Worlds Games finds its illustrators, it's largely through indie comics! Two anthologies we're really excited about are the latest Ex.Mag from our friends at PEOW and Hot Net Hotel from Paradise Systems. Both are chock full of talent and great way to discover multiple comics at once. We're also really looking forward to our pal Artyom Trakhanov's latest SHARP EYE and the entire slate of upcoming Fall 2025 Releases from Glacier Bay Books.
  • Jon Sacha is probably best known as Goblins & Gardens and for their Tarot deck of the same name (which is easily one of the most beautiful things I own). Now they're publishing a new, original game called Dungeon Wilds and the deck looks every bit as good as the last one.
  • And speaking of beautiful objects, check out Pergamino Barocco—a system agnostic spellbook printed as a genuine scroll folded accordion style into a hardcover binding. Their horror spellbook The Book of Gaub is an all-timer, and I expect this will be too.

More soon, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Keep sharing the campaign far and wide, and fingers crossed we'll be fully funded come this time next week!

All best,

T
